Queensland Transport & Logistics Training Terms and Conditions

Welcome! Queensland Transport & Logistics Training (QTLT) is a privately-operated registered training organisation recognised by the Australian Skills Quality Authority.

On this page, we are setting out our policies and procedures regarding QTLT’s assessment and training services as well as the terms and conditions of contract between our trainees (i.e., you) and QTLT (i.e., as your training provider). Be sure to read the entire contents of the page before enrolling in any of the courses provided by QTLT.

Furthermore, be sure to read the student enrolment guide and course brochure, among other informational resources, for each course that you plan to enrol in. These materials contain specific information pertaining to each course beyond the general guidance provided in this page.


You can enter, check and verify all of your account details by first logging into the system; click the log-in link at the upper-right hand corner of every page. Students are also requested to complete the student enrolment questionnaire that tells us relevant information about yourself. The information contained in the form will also be used by the Department of Education and Training (DET) for policy-making purposes in vocational education and training (VET) at the federal and state levels.

You can also view the courses you are presently enrolled in by viewing your personal online profile. Your profile page will contain information about your courses including the units, schedule and exams for each course.

To book any of the courses at QTLT and become a trainee, you must meet the following requirements:

Student Records

Upon enrolment, you will be issued a user name and password. You should use the information to access the online administrative tools at our website, including updating your personal records.

Fees and Charges

QTLT accepts payments for course enrolment via credit card, either Visa or MasterCard. You will not be considered officially enrolled in a course and, therefore, not eligible for the issue of a certification or award until after the required fee is paid in full.

The QTLT website uses PayPal and/or Westpac Bank gateways in processing all credit card transactions. Upon your payment via these facilities, your credit card details are directly transmitted and transacted with these third party gateways. We do not have access to your credit card details at any stage of the transaction.

The website uses industry standard Secure Socket layer (SSL) technology to protect your credit card information from online fraud.

Replacement paper copies for lost statements, certificates, and awards of attainment are also available upon the payment of a nominal administrative fee.

All fees and charges must be paid in Australian dollars.

Attention, credit card customers: Refunds will be subjected to a 3% service charge based on the credit card transaction amount, which will cover the merchant fee.


All reschedules must be made in writing seven (7) working days prior to the course date. The written request must be sent via email to info@qtlt.com.au as well.

Refunds and Cancellations

Trainees who have started their courses and left before it has been completed will not be entitled to refunds. Trainees who fail to attend the scheduled day of the course will not be entitled to a refund, unless the course was cancelled by QTLT.

If we cancel a course in which you have already been enrolled, you will receive a full refund of all the fees paid to QTLT.

There are also no refunds offered on any cancellation of any rescheduled course.

A full refund of the course tuition will be given provided that the refund request is received by QTLT seven (7) days before the start of the course. Only 50% of the total course fee will be refunded if the refund request is received less than seven (7) days before the course commencement.

Please allow up to three weeks for refund requests to be processed and released.

In case of cancellations due to illness, a trainee must provide satisfactory paperwork, such as a medical certificate or statuary declaration (JP certified) of their circumstances. A cancellation fee of 25% of full internet payment will apply but the cancellation must take place prior to the commencement of the course.

All cancellations must be made in writing and sent via email to info@qtlt.com.au. If paid online, an administration fee of $30.00 (incl. GST) will be withheld from the online payment.

The abovementioned refund and cancellation policies are subject to change, as documented in the individual enrolment guide, course brochure, and other informational materials. In case of conflict between the terms and conditions set forth in this page, the policy detailed in these informational materials will take precedence.

QTLT requires an initial non-refundable administration fee and deposit of 25% of the full list price for all the courses. The deposit should be paid before course commencement and the balance of tuition payable before the end of the course.

Unique Student Identifier

QTLT is a participant in the Unique Student Identifier (USI) program of the Commonwealth. We will only issue qualifications and statements of attainment to students with a valid USI.

Trainees are requested to acquire their own USI from www.usi.gov.au and then provide it to us. Oversees trainees studying offshore with no Australian passport or visa are exempted; foreign students in Australia, however, are required to acquire their USI.

Class Transfers

If you are already booked into a class but wish to change to another scheduled class, you will be required to pay the following fees:

Furthermore, QTLT will require a transfer fee of 50% of the full course fee for all class transfers requested after a class has started.


QTLT is obligated by law specifically by the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 to disclose to the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), the Department of Education and Training (DET), and other related government entities relevant information regarding your studies with the training organisation. Furthermore, your employer and other third parties will be provided with information related to your studies in case said party paid for your course attendance.

The required information includes student identities, details of issued qualifications, and statements of attainment, among others.

QTLT, however, adopts a policy of strict confidentiality in all other matters and parties aside from the abovementioned cases. Trainee personal details will remain confidential at all times and no personal information will be disclosed to any other third party without your express written consent.

Privacy Policy

QTLT respects the privacy of its trainees, past and present. Any and all personal information collected by the organisation is protected by the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988. It will be held securely and disposed of appropriately when not needed in the future.

QTLT may use third-party advertising tools, such as Google marketing, on its website. Users of our website should then be aware that information related to their browsing behaviour may be collected, the information of which can later be used by third-party vendors, such as Google. The third-party use is necessary for showing QTLT advertisements on others' websites that have been approved for display in the network.

You can choose to opt out of Google’s cookie use by visiting the Google’s advertising opt-out page. You may also opt out of cookies by clicking on the Network Advertising Initiative opt- out page.

Google AdWords Conversion Tracking

QTLT May use Google AdWords Conversion tracking technology in collecting general usage statistics (i.e., the number of site visitors who clicked on our Google ads, made an enquiry, or purchased a class with us). The general usage statistics are usually gathered with the use of cookies, which do not contain any personal identifiable information and expire within thirty (30) days.

Assessment refers to the process of collecting documentary evidence and making professional judgments about the competency achieved by the trainee. You must provide sufficient evidence to demonstrate your acquisition of essential knowledge and skills in relation to successful completion of or compliance with the required standards. You will then be considered competent in the course you have completed with QTLT.

QTLT adopts the four key principles of the assessment process:

Unless otherwise specified in the student guide or course brochure, trainees can take two assessments examinations without additional cost; the two attempts are already included in the total course fee. An additional assessment fee will be required for third and subsequent attempts.

Unless otherwise specified in the student guide or course brochure, trainees must return assessment workbooks within 12 months of enrolment in the course. A small 6-month extension fee will be charged in case a return is not yet possible. Only one 6-month extension will be permitted.

QTLT retains legal ownership of all assessment materials, such as assessment workbooks and their associated supporting evidence, upon its receipt of said materials. We are obligated by law to retain the evidence used in our assessment process and the decisions that resulted from it.

Access and Equity

QTLT is committed toward providing education and training opportunities for all people regardless of their gender, social and economic status, and race and religion, among others. We request all trainees to provide us with reliable and relevant information about any language, literacy, and numeracy (LL&N) challenges on their enrolment form, which should be accomplished before the start of training.

We encourage our trainees to discuss any learning difficulties with their trainers before the commencement or during the induction of the course. Trainees who require special assistance are also encouraged to enrol in the courses but we must emphasize that they are responsible for the provision of any unique and specialised support, such as a language interpreter or additional piece of equipment.


According to QTLT’s principles, cheating means the dishonest presentation of an assessment task or activity as a genuine representation of your own understanding, ability and capacity in the concerned subject. Examples of cheating include:

When sufficient evidence for cheating is established, you will be provided with an opportunity to defend yourself (i.e., respond to the allegations). If you have been found guilty of cheating, you will either be:

Trainees must act in an appropriate manner and must not engage in discriminatory conduct including harassment during any class activity including assessments. Students must avoid:

Trainers may give the errant trainees a verbal warning for any breach of these standards. Repeat offenders may be subjected to termination of their enrolment with all fees paid forfeited in favour of QTLT.


QTLT has a 10-day assessment turnaround time. We will provide for our assessment decision within ten (10) working days from the receipt of your assessment work at our office.

If your assessment work is deemed or marked “Competent”, we will then e-mail you a PDF copy of your attainment, statement, or qualification. You will also receive the original paper copy of your qualification in the mail.

All Qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by QTLT are in compliance with the requirements set by the Australian Qualifications Framework. All records of results during classes and assessments are retained for 30 years.

Complaints and Appeals

QTLT has a fair and transparent process for dealing with complaints and appeals. You are welcome to raise your complaints, concerns and issues with us especially where our courses, classes and staff are concerned.

Our online training system provides our trainees with the appropriate facility for trainees, clients, and even third parties to provide feedback, lodge complaints, and file appeals. We suggest contacting our operations manager who has the responsibility of investigating the circumstances behind the complaint or appeal; making the appropriate decision about it; recording the results of his decision; and notifying the parties (e.g., student) about it.

QTLT has a different process for informal and formal complaints. Please submit your enquiries about these complaint processes to the operations manager at info@qtlt.com.au.


We have made every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information contained in the QTLT website as well as in any project proposal and marketing material that we provide to our clients. However, we accept no liability toward any entity or person with respect misleading information, inaccuracy of data, and loss or damage indirectly or directly caused by the information contained in these materials.

QTLT makes changes including additions to the information contained in our official website on a frequent basis. Please check back to be updated about these changes and to make appropriate adjustments in your plans.

Product Liability

QTLT does not provide warranties except those implied by law and which cannot be excluded in relation to its products and materials supplied to others. Where the law applies, the liability of QTLT for a breach of warranty and/or condition is limited to either the replacement or rectification of the products or materials, or the refund of the purchase price already paid for the products or materials excluding delivery charges, which are determined by QTLT on its sole discretion.

QTLT will not also be liable for any consequential damages and losses suffered as a result of the use of the products or materials supplied by us.

Product Prices and Availability

Slight discrepancies may arise between the website data and product flyers due to the frequent updates on the database. When a product is labelled as “Available”, it can be generally delivered within 10 days.

Collection of Overdue Invoices

QTLT reserves the right to pass on to its customers a debt collection commission fee for overdue invoices on the purchase of materials, products and services. We will also report the names of customers with outstanding monies to credit management authorities and other relevant third parties.

Intellectual Property, Plagiarism and Copyright Infringement

QTLT has made considerable investments in its intangible assets including its intellectual property including learner guides, course guides, overhead slides, assessment workbooks, and website content.

You are only authorised to use our intellectual property for their personal reference. You are also expressly prohibited from using our intellectual property for any other non-study purposes, unless otherwise authorised in writing by us. Your unauthorised use of our intellectual property will constitute breach of contract including instances of plagiarism and copyright infringement, for which you will be required to pay unliquidated damages equal to the enrolment fees of 50 students in the same course in which you are also enrolled.

QTLT will provide a reward of one-third (1/3) of the received copyright infringement fee to the first individual who can provide valid proof about the matter.

Gift Certificates

QTLT provides clients with gift certificates that can be gifted to their family and friends as the invaluable gift of education. Gift certificates can only be redeemed by telephone, used once and then it becomes cancelled and void, and cannot be used in conjunction with other vouchers and certificates.

These should also be redeemed within 12 months from their issue date or by 31 December of the year of issue if there is no recorded date. These may not be redeemed or exchanged for cash.
